Regarded as one of the most important art shows in the world, the Armory Show in New York features the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean in the Focus section. The fair hosts 199 art galleries from 28 countries and showcases artworks of world-renowned artists, as well as artists from Turkey. As the Focus section of the organization centers upon the Arab Spring that took place in the Middle East and North Africa, visitors are showing great interest in the fair. The artwork entitled "Canto III," by Iraqi artist Wafaa Bilal, draws the most interest at the fair. Turkish painter İsmail Acar's works are also displayed in the Focus section of the organization. This year, the Armory Show hosts Turkish galleries as well.
