The International Üsküdar Poetry Festival will run from April 4 to April 11 and feature 19 international and 16 Turkish poets. According to the statement released by the Üsküdar Municipality, the festival - which will be held thanks to contributions from the municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism - will be led by Professor Hüsrev Hatemi. Apart from important international literary figures such as Najwan Darwish from Palestine, Ali Jimale Ahmed from Somalia, Ryszard Krynicki from Poland, Sead Begovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Balazs Szollosy from Hungary, various Turkish poets will attend as well.
