Akbank Sanat presents a brand new children's play "Family Tree" this week. Based on stories written by children who have attended the Akbank Art Center screenwriting workshops and a story by Jonathan Lloyd, the play is adapted for the stage by Rachel Barnett. Each member of the protagonist Penny's family wants money for something. She saves all her pocket money to buy the first edition of her favorite comic book. Her little brother Luke is sick and tired of his toys and does not have enough money to buy new ones, while Penny's mother loves to purchase expensive perfumes and designer clothes. However, everything changes when their father loses his job. Penny and her family begin to understand what money can and cannot buy and become aware of the real value of each other.
