Young violin virtuoso David Garrett and jazz's misty voice Diane Krall will perform at the Haliç Congress Center and Zorlu Performance Arts Center on May 20 and Oct. 27, respectively, as a part of the Good Music in Town Concert Series, jointly organized by IEG Live and Piu Müzik and sponsored by Yapı Kredi. Garrett will be accompanied by pianist Julien Quentin and present a recital with a repertoire featuring classics such as Johannes Brahms' "Thuner Sonate," "Andante Tranquill" and "Regenliedsonate." The young virtuoso who learned to play violin at the age of four gave his first recital when he was seven. He also broke a record by playing 13 notes in a second and entered the "Guinness Book of Records" as the fastest violinist in the world. Regarded as a genius of the music industry, Garrett is known for blending classics with pop and rock. Following the Garrett's concert, five time Grammy winning jazz soloist Diane Krall will visit Turkey as well. Promoting her new album with a world tour, the artist will take the stage at the Zorlu Performance Arts Center. Krall, who covers the pop hits of the '60s with jazz rhythms, will sing a jazz rendition of the famous hit "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & the Papas for her fans.
