The workshop "Art of Seeing with Peter Sanders" is offered by Peter Sanders, probably the most respected photographer in the Islamic world. It is a chance to see Istanbul's hidden gems through a different lens. Participants will take special photography training under Sander's guidance. He started his career as a photographer of musicians like Bod Dylan and the Rolling Stones in the mid-1960s. He then traveled to Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa and made a name as the first Western photographer to take photos of Islamic holy sites in Saudi Arabia. He converted to Islam and has photographed many regions of the Islamic world. With over 50 years of experience, Sanders has built an archive of over a quarter of a million transparencies from 40 countries and exhibits his work around the world in museums, workshops, books and documentaries.
