Having receiving standing ovations for her mesmerizing voice, Jazz musician Elif Çağlar studied jazz composition at Istanbul Bilgi University's Department of Music where she specialized in composition techniques with Timur Selçuk. She also holds her master's degree from Queen's College's Department of Jazz Performance. Çağlar released her first album "M-U-S-I-C" in 2010. Three years later, she worked with Jimmy Burns and Katherine Davis, the masters of Chicago blues, for another album. Last Season, Çağlar gave a concert for her new album "Misfit" at Salon accompanied by Aaron Parks, Harish Raghavan, Eric Harland, İlhan Erşahin, İmer Demirer and Cenk Erdoğan. With her dynamic voice, she will perform at Salon on Oct. 24. Standing-room only tickets are TL 35 and student tickets are TL 25. Tickets are available online through Biletix or at İKSV box offices (every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
