Theater buffs in Istanbul might not have a chance to watch Benedict Cumberbatch as Shakespeare's Hamlet on stage, but Istanbul Foundation for Arts and Culture (İKSV) screens the video recording of the play in November. The new project of the İKSV's Play Room brings the sold-out productions of London's renowned theaters and Broadway. Known for his acting as Sherlock Holmes in BBC's acclaimed TV series "Sherlock" and his nomination for the Academy Award with "The Imitation Game," British actor Cumberbatch plays the lead character "Hamlet" in National Theater's production. Directed by Lyndsey Turner, the play's tickets were sold out a year ago. Thanks to the İKSV, Istanbulites will get a chance to watch this incredible stage production on screen.
