Directed by Lisa Blatter and Gregor Frei and eight other directors, the film "Heimatland" (Wonderland) will be screened on April 7 at Beyoğlu Fitaş Theater Hall as a part of the 35th Istanbul Film Festival. A huge cloud appears over Switzerland and as it seems to grow bigger, it is only a matter of time before the great flood begins. Power and water are cut off, supermarkets are looted, shelters from World War II are re-opened, insurance companies are in a state of panic, fascists are on the hunt for foreigners and police teams cannot contain the chaos. People are immigrating en masse to Germany. Maybe, the end is closer than we thought. Written and directed by 10 young Swiss directors, this allegory shines a light on the current state of Switzerland and Europe in general.
