by Daily Sabah

by Daily Sabah May 10, 2016 12:00 am
Completing her classical music education at New York Mannes School of Music, Universite de Sorbonne Paris IV, Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and Istanbul Technical University, soprano Ayşe Sicimoğlu took singing lessons from baritone Thomas Hampson whenever she could, and she still continues her studies, adding various disciplines, in Istanbul. Her father, famous musician Ayhan Sicimoğlu, brought together internationally renowned musicians for both of his albums in which she also sang a few songs. She entered international charts with her original interpretation of "Istanbul pas Constantinople."

Voicing the parts of "Alcindoro" and "Benoit" in the Royal Opera House Turkish production of "La Boheme" as the sole cast with success, baritone M. Mustafa Arabacı started his education by taking lessons in 2002 and continued at Istanbul State Opera Conservatory Department of Opera, Istanbul Technical University Department of Music Technologies and Istanbul University State Opera Conservatory Department of Opera as a postgraduate.

Collaborating on this creative project with the theme: "Vive l'Amour!" (Long Live Love), this dynamic and energetic duo will perform arias from different periods, duets, other pieces and popular classics about love, flirting and compassion, which they have hand-picked from their wide repertoires.

Pianist Aylin Doğan graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory (MSGSÜ) in 1990. She studied music education at a young age at Frankfurt Conservatory. She worked as a music director at MSGSÜ State Conservatory Department of Ballet between 2000 and 2011 and also as a director at MSGSÜ State Conservatory middle school-high school section between 2011 and 2015. Since 2012, she has educated many students who study at international conservatories at Boğaziçi Art Academy, which she founded. Giving many solo concerts and performing as an accompanist both in and outside the country, Doğan is still working as the MSGSÜ scholarship coordinator and an academic in the piano department.
