The 2nd International Cumalıkızık Raspberry Festival begins July 16 in Bursa's Yıldırım district. According to a statement from the Yıldırım Municipality, folk dance groups from Turkey, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Montenegro and Macedonia as well as the Erguven Performing Arts Ensemble and the Bursa Rumeli Folk Dance Group will perform in the festival. The festival, which begins with a cortege, will end with a concert by Turkish folk music artist Sumer Ezgü. Yıldırım Mayor İsmail Hakkı Edebali said they want to contribute to the unity and solidarity of residents in the county with cultural events like the festival. Edebali emphasized that building strong community cultural values should be looked after. He added: "We continue to bring to life works that build unity and solidarity in our hometown. We organized the International Cumalıkızık Raspberry Festival in this context. The festival is important for looking after cultural values. The road that leads to a powerful society is the road that looks after the culture. With this awareness, we will continue to implement works that add to the unity and solidarity of the people."
