A project by French musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, the band Nouvelle Vague skillfully blends the rebellious side of punk rock and intellectual depth of new wave with glamour and joy of bossa nova. Including extraordinary vocal talents such as Camille, Phoebe Killder, Nadeah, Melanie Pain and Liset Alea, the band became famous for their covers of world-famous artists like Joy Division, The Clash, Depeche Mode and Blondie. Their four albums released between 2004 and 2010 topped over 1 million sales, and this led to the band performing in many famous venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Olympia in Paris and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Taking a break on album recording in 2011, the band took a different direction and performed as part of shows and musicals directed by famous designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac.
