A sweet wind of jazz will blow at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul throughout February. Tonight, on Valentine's Day, Roberta Gambarini comes to the stage to give an unforgettable live performance. Born in Italy's Torino as the daughter of a saxophonist, Gambarini grew up listening to jazz. She took up the clarinet at the age of 12 and began taking piano lessons. She made her first breakthrough after coming third at the Thelonious Monk Competition in 1998, making her one of the most sought-after live performers around. She earned Grammy nominations with her debut album "Easy to Love" in 2006 and her third album "So in Love" in 2009.

In 2008, she recorded the album "You Are There" with legendary jazz pianist and composer Hank Jones. Gambarini also worked with prominent musician Dave Brubeck, James Moody, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, Michel & Randy Brecker, Jimmy Heath, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Cobb, Slide Hampton, Frank Wess, Eric Gunnison, Neil Swainson, Toots Thielemans, Paquito D'Rivera, Mark O'Conner, Cyrus Kestane, Percy Heath, Ron Carter, Johnny Griffin, John Lee, Billy Higgins, Cedar Walton, Ray Drummond, George Kabloları, James Morrison and Kenny Burrell.
