Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra (BIFO) will greet the audience with talented soloists and a colorful program on May 18. Mahler's masterpiece "Des Knaben Wunderhorn," which invites humanity to listen to the call of innocence, will be performed with two famous soloists. One of today's most successful artists, "lied" performer and soprano Dorothea Röschmann made her debut at the Salzburg Festival as Susanna in "The Marriage of Figaro" under the supervision of legendary conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
Röschmann will perform "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" with Ian Bostridge, with whom she made a lied album and was awarded an ECHO Klassik award in 2003. Famous tenor Bostridge, who attracted great attention in a successful concert with BİFO last season, will be in Istanbul once again as one of the shining stars of the event. In addition to his successful lied performances, Bostridge also wrote a book about his work process on lied masterpiece "Winter Journey" by Schubert.
When: Tomorrow
Where: Lütfi Kırdar Anadolu Auditorium
