The Greece Consulate General in Istanbul will display contemporary Greek films with Turkish subtitles at the Sismanoglio Megaro Culture Center, until June. Included in the screening program is "Notias," which was directed by Tasos Bulmetis. On his way to becoming a man, the adolescent Stavros starts to tell stories of antique and contemporary Greek myths, imaginary travels and beautiful women.
The movie offers a funny travel, full of Greek nostalgia. With a story of love and search for identity, Tasos Bulmetis combines a "small" history of people with the "grand" history of the country.
