The 4th Fajr International Fashion and Clothing Fair kicked off in Tehran this week at the city's international fair center. With the participation of over 200 international companies from Turkey, Italy, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, the fair showcases a wide range of Muslim women's clothing such as headscarves, long coats and upper gowns. Çağrı Uluç, a member of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, told Anadolu Agency that Turkey is participating in the fair for the first time. "We present hand-made traditional Ottoman kaftans made by the Sabancı Advanced Technical School for Girls. There are also other local costumes sent by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism," Uluç said. He said the fair is a good opportunity to promote Turkish attire in Iran. Displaying women's clothing from 74 universities from 20 Iranian cities, the fair will run until Saturday.
