The stock of Turkish football club Beşiktaş jumped Friday after the team won a tightly contested victory over England's Liverpool on Thursday night in Istanbul. After the UEFA Europa league victory, Turkish team's stock price increased to TL 2.65 ($1.05), a 9.5 percent increase at the opening of trading. By lunch time the share price dropped to TL 2.50 after profit-taking. The stock price has moved steadily higher in the past year to about TL 2.50 from around TL 1.90 in February 2014. Rival Turkish team Fenerbahce's stock price dropped to TL 46, a 3.3 percent decrease this morning while the stock price of Turkish teams Galatasaray fell 1.81 percent to TL 21.65, and Trabzonspor lost 0.66 percent to TL 1.50.
