A special "Discover Turkish Food Products" event initiated by the Aegean Exporters Associations (AEA) and within the Turquality Project - a state-funded brand-building program - will take place at Tokyo's Main Dining Restaurant on Wednesday.
Japanese chef Akihiko Murata, who has a Michelin star rating, will be using Turkish food products to prepare traditional Japanese dishes at the event. New recipes that fuse Turkish food products with Japanese culinary culture will be introduced with the participation of popular food bloggers. A session will be devoted to the presentation of Turkish food products and their health benefits, including dried apricots, grapes, olive oil, pasta and bulghur
A Turkish culinary section has been set up at Cookpad, a popular Japanese cooking website, where visitors can find 30 Turkish recipes. Initiated by the Turkish Ministry of Economy, Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association (İTKİB), the Turquality project is a national brand-building program that facilitates and supports the success of Turkish brands within the international arena.
