Ice cream, the blue boy of the summer season, contains a considerable amount of vitamins and minerals. However, experts say that it must be consumed in the evening hours. Pointing out that vitamins A, B, C, D and E, along with minerals like calcium, phosphor, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron and zinc are essential for the human body, Dr. Fevzi Özgönül said the easiest and the most enjoyable way of taking these is through the consumption of ice cream.
Warning people against consuming ice cream during daylight, Dr. Özgönül said, "To prevent the harmful effect of the sugar in ice cream, it should be consumed after 10:00 p.m. To be able to deserve it, you should eat the food essential for your body at breakfast and lunch and stay away from sweets and pastries for healthy digestion."
The first time ice cream was produced 3,000 years ago by the Chinese. Then in 1777, it started to be produced in the U.S. It was just a home-made product until the mid-19th century, then in the second half of the second millennium, ice cream production started to be industrialized.
