Istanbul giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce took decisive steps in their pursuit of the Ziraat Turkey Cup after beating their opponents in their respective semi-final first legs. Galatasaray dominated Sivasspor, 4-1, at home on Thursday with goals by Sabri Sarioglu, Felipe Melo, Wesley Sneijder and Selcuk Inan. John Utaka scored for Sivasspor. The second leg of the Galatasaray-Sivasspor semi-final will be played in Sivas on May 19th at 8:30 pm. In the other semi-final match, Fenerbahce beat Bursaspor 2-1 on Tuesday night. Forward Emmanuel Emmenike and Bruno Alves scored for Fenerbahce. Fernando Belluschi had Bursaspor's only goal. The second leg will be played in Istanbul on May 21 at 8:30 pm.
