Title contenders Beşiktaş picked up a surprise 1-1 draw against Gaziantepspor at the Osmanlı Stadium in Ankara on Sunday, potentially hurting their chances of winning the Spor Toto Süper Lig. Beşiktaş got off to a flyer after Jose Sosa's early goal. The 29-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder put the ball in the back of the net from a free kick in the seventh minute. In the 42nd minute, visitors Gaziantepspor midfielder John Chibuike poked the ball into the net to make it 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Chibuike was sent off after fouling Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre forcing Gaziantepspor to play with 10 men. Dictating the tempo of the match, Beşiktaş increased the pressure as they searched for a winning goal. The title hopefuls however were consistently missed what chances fell their way. In injury time, Gaziantepspor had a chance for a late winner after a counter attack, however, Erdem Şen's effort hit the bar. The match in Ankara ended 1-1 and Beşiktaş fell back to third place with 65 points. The Black Eagles hurt their title chance with four games to go while archrivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe each managed to win their matches last weekend. Galatasaray currently lead the league with 67 points while Fenerbahçe are close behind with 66 points.
