Turkey's national football team coach Fatih Terim on Saturday confirmed the inclusion of Arda Turan and a few other star players in the squad for Turkey's 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo on Nov. 12. Apparently, following a rough run of matches, the Turkey manager has been forced to overturn his decision to not include the likes of Arda Turan, Burak Yılmaz, Selçuk İnan and Gökhan Gönül, who were all dropped last August after a disappointing show by the national team in the Euro 2016.
On Saturday, however, it was revealed Turan, İnan, Gönül and Yılmaz had been named in the 28-men squad for the game against Kosovo, set to be played in Turkey's Antalya.
Meanwhile, Terim also named three fresh faces in the squad, including, Yalçın Ayhan, Mehmet Batdal of Medipol Başakşehir and Bilal Başacıkoğlu of Feyenoord. Young sensation Emre Mor has been dropped as he serves a yellow card suspension.
The Crescent-Stars fly for Antalya today and will attend a preparation camp at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. Terim is set to hold a press conference on Friday where he will give details of the preparation and announce the final squad.
Turan, in the meantime, announced the news of his recall on his Instagram account saying, "Coach and I had a chat and I hope we will work together again for our country."
