Ukraine is sitting in the second place with eight points while Finland is last with one point.
Turkey's campaign has been a little disappointment so far however the home victory against Finland will keep hopes of next year's World Cup in Russia alive. Although the Turks are unbeaten in six home qualifiers (W4, D2), Finland has never lost in Turkey, winning three matches and drawing two.
In 12 previous meetings, Finland has won five, while Turkey has bagged three wins with four matches ending in draws.
Meanwhile, Serbia came from behind to win 3-1 in Georgia and go top of Group D for at least a few hours on Friday.
Dusan Tadic's penalty on the stroke of half-time, a curling shot from Aleksandar Mitrovic in the 64th and a late strike from substitute Mijat Gacinovic reversed Georgia's early lead from Nika Katcharava.
Unbeaten Serbia has 11 points in Group D, one more than Ireland who hosts third-placed Euro 2016 semi-finalists Wales (six points) later in the day. Georgia are second bottom with two points.
Nine qualifiers in total were scheduled for Friday, including Group G leaders Spain and Italy hosting Israel and Albania, respectively.
