A police officer distracted by a phone call forgot about the ongoing Ziraat Turkish Cup football match between Sinopspor and Yeni Amasyaspor Tuesday and casually invaded the pitch.
The officer received a call during the game, for which he was enforcing security measures, but he quickly became carried away by the phone conversation and started walking around the pitch while the teams were in mid-play.
The officer realized that he was on the pitch when the ball was near him and players and coaches shouted for him to get off.
He quickly ran off the field and apologized to the referee assistant on the side.
