President Erdoğan visits taxi stand in Ankara

President Erdoğan visited a taxi stand on Monday in the Turkish capital Ankara.

The visit took place as the president landed in Ankara [from Istanbul] and was on his way from the airport to the presidential palace.

Erdoğan conversed with drivers at the taxi stand as they informed the president of the problems they were facing in the taxi industry.

The taxi drivers served the president tea and Turkish bagels ("simit") and had their photographs taken with him, as souvenirs.
