İzmir's Çeşme district, a hot tourism destination, is sure to attract more visitors soon with its thermal resources. Two thermal tourism centers will be established to better promote the district's resources. The first facility will be constructed on 10 acres of land with contributions from the İzmir business community. The facilities will feature different sections including accommodations and health and beauty salons. A 300-bed capacity hotel is also in the project. An average of 1,000 tourists can benefit from the center on a daily basis. "An additional section will be allocated for the elderly as a nursing home. The facilities will open in 2018," Mayor Muhittin Dalgıç said, adding that Çeşme has been known to be rich in thermal resources since the Ottoman period. Construction will begin soon, he said.
