Upcoming seminar series: The dark mysteries of ancient Istanbul

Göksel Gülensoy, international award-winning researcher, director and the author of the best-selling book "Ayasofya'nın Gizli Tarihi" ("Hagia Sophia's Secret History"), which was referenced by Dan Brown for his famous book "Inferno," along with researcher, Erhan Altunay, will be meeting with Istanbul's mystery fans in a four-week seminar.
The first seminar, which will take place on Nov. 12, will discuss Istanbul's secret history and its relativity to modern Istanbul. The seminars will continue for four weeks, with a mysterious conclusion, where participants will be taken on a timeless and unique adventure to a secret location.
"The Crusades and Secret Plans Surviving Today," "Symbols and Mysteries," "The Secret Life of Mehmed the Conqueror," "Mysterious History of Hagia Sophia and Other Historical Locations," "Underground Tunnels," "Istanbul under Siege," "Istanbul's First Civilizations and Remains," "the Mysteries of Istanbul during Greek and Roman Times" and "Today's Istanbul" are some of the scheduled seminars.
The participants may find answers to questions such as: "Did Mehmed the conqueror actually have a collection of sacred relics?" "Where did the knights leave their secret marks and what are they?" "What is the most sacred location in Hagia Sophia?" "What really occurred in Hagia Sofia during the Siege Years?" The seminars, that will start at 10:30 a.m. and finish at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 12, 19, 26 and Dec. 3-10, are being held at the Aqua Yeşim Merkesi (Aqua Life Center), located in Kadıkoy, Istanbul.
