After the elevator crash in Mecidiyeköy, Istanbul that killed 10 workers, Council of Ministers met on Monday to introduce a new urgent action plan on work safety which includes signing International Labor Organization's 167th Convention concerning Safety and Health in Construction.
The most important feature of ILO's 167th Convention is that workers may reject to work if the work site is not compiled with a secure measures.
The Labor and Social Security Minister Faruk Çelik notified cabinet members on recent information gathered through investigations.
