Istanbul police captured Bulgarian gang leader Dimitar Zhelyazkov and seven of his men in an operation in Istanbul's Bakırköy district Saturday.
Zhelyazkov, 46, was issued an international arrest warrant by Interpol on charges of running a criminal organization, arson, racketeering and extortion.
He was remanded in custody, and his men were deported to Bulgaria.
