Sivas, a central Turkish city, boasts the most residents in Istanbul, figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) revealed on Monday. According to figures, three out of every 10 people live in a city different from where she or he was born. The highest rate of those in Istanbul with a different birthplace were born in Sivas. It is followed by migrants from the northern Turkish cities of Ordu and Tokat.
