ISTANBUL —
The Marble Cathedral situated in Patagonia, Chile could be one of the world's most beautiful caves. Visitors to this natural wonder are impressed with its unique visual beauty and geological structure.

Formed with the wave action in Lake General Carrera, South America's second largest freshwater lake, over 6200 years, the Marble Cathedral has a glorious appearance by combining small holes, tunnels and pillars with azure blue color water.

The natural carve network is one of the astonishing living examples of art in our planet.

Magical water changes the Cave According the scientific researches, the cathedral makes a perfect tone with azure blue color of Lake General Carrera and changes its view in different times of the year. Every face of day light reveals the impressing beauty of the cave.

Visitors have only one common point at the end of their trip: the unique dance of the cathedral and the lake. Light penetrates into the cave and the color reflecting on these beautiful holes reveals the liveliest tone of turquoise. Their dance surprises new visitors with the fluctuation of water.

The dream of geologists and photographers Apart from a tourist attraction center, the Marble Cathedral is frequently visited by geologists and photographers. The Cathedral has been raised the interest of researchers.

Geologists suggest that the brightness and azure color blue of the water comes from the Pacific Ocean and the crystalized glacier silt comes out a spectacular look in the cave. Photographers are attracted by the cave's extraordinary natural beauty. Photography students gain different experiences each time thanks to the changes in water level and light. To get to this hidden heaven located in the far Southern tip of Chile, adventerous visitors must first fly from the capital , Santiago, 800 miles to the next nearest large city, Coyhaique then must travel in a small boat or kayak (when the weather accomodating and the seas are settled).
