Prepared under the coordination of Turkey's Ministry of Development, the 2015-2018 Information Society Strategy and Action Plan imposes an obligation to install Internet infrastructure for newly-built buildings.
Within the scope of the initiation, standards will be set for indoor wireless communication systems in order to decrease the cost of fiber Internet infrastructure and gain more investment in this field. New regulations which will determine the share of this infrastructure and responsiblities of building-owners will also be introduced by the action plan.
With this project, besides residential buildings the ministry also aims to provide Internet infrastructure to all public institutions including schools and hospitals.
