Operated jointly by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and Eczacıbaşı Holding, the Dancing Notes Project was initiated on Tuesday with a signing ceremony held at Istanbul Modern and attended by MEB General Manager of Primary Education Funda Kocabıyık and Eczacıbaşı Holding Vice Chairman Faruk Eczacıbaşı. The project aims to offer musical experiences to kindergarteners to support the development of their musical talents. A total of 60 teachers in 10 chosen pilot schools will receive training on music education. The training will be given through the Orff Approach and teachers will be provided Orff instruments to practice and perform what they learn during the training. The MEB also decided to prolong their joint project with Eczacıbaşı Holding, which aims to improve the physical conditions of regional boarding schools, for five years. The number of schools in the project, which was initiated in 2007, will increase to 60 with the addition of 25 new schools.
