The eighth International Bodrum Kite Festival was organized in Muğla's Bodrum district last weekend. Local residents showed great interest in the festival held by a private firm under the slogan "Engelleri gökyüzünde kaldıralım" (Let's remove barriers in the sky). Families and children had fun flying kites in an area surrounded by historic windmills. There were also visitors from Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany. Local food and handcrafts were on sale at the festival, which also featured foreign and local musicians. The festival's revenue will be donated to the Ortakent-Yahşi School for People with Disabilities.
