The Mobile Repair Vehicle, which was established to encourage people to adapt to a more moving lifestyle as a part of the Yellow Bicycle Social Responsibility Project, will be in Istanbul until Aug. 16. Bicycles that need fixing will be repaired by experts in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul and will be able to bring color to the streets once again.

The project aims to spread the concept of mobility, which is one of the most important elements for a healthy life, through the Yellow Bicycle project. This year, the project encourages the people of Istanbul to ride bicycles more, under the leadership of women. One of the most important services of the Yellow Bicycle project in Istanbul will be the Yellow Bicycle Mobile Repair Vehicle. The bicycle repair vehicle has previously helped cyclists in Eskişehir and now it is ready to bring the inactive bicycles in Kadıköy to life. The Mobile Repair Vehicle, which hit the roads yesterday, will be in front of the Erenköy Mosque today and tomorrow. The repair vehicle will offer its services in the neighborhood of Acıbadem on July 10 and on the Caddebostan Coast on July 11 and 12. The Mobile Repair Vehicle features all the equipment needed for the maintenance and repair of bicycles and will come together with bicycle lovers in certain locations in Istanbul. Moreover, adjustments of brake, wheel and accords, as well as putting chains on and off and tire repair services will be free of charge.

Bicycles that were inactive for several years due to numerous failures will come back to life thanks to the Mobile Repair Vehicle. While repairing the bicycles, the project as well as the vehicle will raise awareness. The practice, which was very popular in Eskişehir last year, will encourage more people to ride bicycles in Istanbul. The project aims to help 10,000 bicycles back on to the roads, thanks to the Yellow Bicycle Mobile Repair Vehicle by the end of next year.
