Istanbul Modern celebrates April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, with a "I Have Dreams for the World" event as part of the 11th Children's Festival.
Supported by Garanti Bank, Ülker and Faber-Castell, the children's festival will run from April 19 to April 24 and will offer entertaining and educational sessions to children between the ages four and 12, free of charge. Geared especially for children, the "I Have Dreams for the World" event will kick off with panel sessions on nature. During these sessions, under expert leadership, there will be discussions for children about nature, sustainability, species living in nature and the place of human beings among these species. After the talks, children will head to an entertaining and mysterious adventure in the Istanbul Modern Museum. They will try to solve puzzles provided by the educators through the exhibitions "Artists in Their Time" or "TILL IT'S GONE."
In the second part of the program, children will design their own world in 3-D postcards produced especially for them. They will write or draw the world of their dreams and create beautiful and original postcards that they can gift to their parents, friends or loved ones. Apart from National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the 2016 Children's Festival will celebrate World Day via various events. The "I Have Dreams for the World" program will be organized between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. every day from April 19 and 24, except for Monday. Each event is one hour long and reservation is necessary. Each group has a capacity of 20 children. For further information, you can visit www.istanbulmodern.com.
