World-famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum to open in Istanbul this Fall

Premiering in Fall 2016, Madame Tussauds will open in Istanbul with an enjoyable exhibit for visitors of all ages. The world's most famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds will open its 21st center in Istanbul. The 250-year-old brand will establish a new address in Istanbul where visitors can see, feel and be photographed with lifelike wax sculptures of their favorite celebrities in an entertaining, interactive and unique experience.

Hosted by the Grand Pera building, Madame Tussauds Istanbul will display more than 60 famous figures including historical and cultural icons as well as artists, sports stars and politicians from the past and the present. Along with a historical trip to the Ottoman and Republican periods, visitors will also be welcomed by several international musicians, athletes and movie stars.

Merlin Entertainment plc, the world's leading entertaining giant and owner and operator of Madame Tussauds, will open Madame Tussauds Istanbul as its 21st wax museum worldwide. Madame Tussauds Istanbul Group General Director Sarper Hilmi said, "We are very excited to open a Madame Tussauds Museum in Turkey, a country which sits at the crossroads between East and West, Europe and Asia.
