A new project initiated by a Turkish publishing house titled "Bir Kitap Yolla," (Send a Book) will enable bookworms to share their love for books with underprivileged children, as the project plans to give away one book for every two purchased on their website "birkitapyolla.com."
The project aims to help underprivileged children have access to printed books. It is also collaborating with the General Directorate of Forestry and will plant a sapling for every 10 books sold on the site.
The collaboration will see paper used in printing the books returned to nature and will help raise a generation that is aware of the importance of protecting nature. The "Bir Kitap Yolla" project also aims to publish at least 50 books written by award-winning authors and promising young writers.
