A jeweler in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş has crafted Turkish coffee cups from solid gold and emeralds, placing his work on the market for TL 55,000 ($15,440).
Known as "The City of Gold" thanks to the skill of its jewelers, Kahramanmaraş recently hosted the 13th Middle East Kahramanmaraş Gold Jewelry and Silver Fair. During the fair, Kahramanmaraş-based jeweler Hacı Öz displayed two coffee cups and a tray all made of solid gold embellished with emeralds.
The handmade coffee cups took more than a month to complete, with each cup weighing 300 grams. For those who want to add some sparkle to their morning routine, the cups will set you back TL 55,000 ($15,440). The cups are still for sale, so if you are interested in drinking your Turkish coffee like royalty, you may still have a chance.
