A British family who was visiting the district of Dalaman in Muğla province adopted a three-legged dog and a blind dog before returning to their home with the new members of their family.
Having come from Manchester, Tracey Very and Dean Baker decided to visit an animal shelter run by the Animal Lovers Foundation (HAYDOS) before returning to their country. The couple fell in love with Bettys, which had lost one of its legs due to abuse four months ago and "Rosie" which lost one of its eye because of a shotgun injury. The couple adopted both Bettys and Rosie and returned home with their new friends.
Speaking to the press, Türkan Dağdelen, HAYDOS president, said people should adopt four-legged friends instead of buying them from pet shops and thanked the British couple for adopting from their shelter.
