National beauty pageant competitor Şevval Şahin was crowned Miss Turkey World 2018 on Monday night.
The 19-year-old finished in first place out of 20 competitors in the finals round that took place at the Hilton Hotel in Istanbul.
Tara Madelein De Vries came in second place as Miss Turkey Universe 2018, followed by Roda Irmak Kalkan as Miss Turkey Supranational 2018.
Şahin is an Istanbul-based model and fashion marketing student studying at the University of East London. She will represent Turkey at the 2018 Miss World Contest in Sanya, China on Dec. 8.
Miss Turkey is the country's national beauty pageant and was first established in 1929.
