Shiite Badr Brigades clashes with ISIS in Kirkuk

The Badr Brigade, which is comprised of over 100 people including many Turkmens, launched an operation to take control of Basheer village in Kirkuk Iraq, which was previously seized by ISIS militants.

Badr Brigade detonated mines, which they placed in certain points of the outskirts of the village and then started to clash with the ISIS militants. The violent clashes still continue in the village, residents reported.

The Turkmen village Basheer, which is located 20 miles south of Kirkuk, was under ISIS control for the last three weeks.
