On Monday, when MSNBC news anchor Andrea Mitchell attempted to ask a question to the former Israeli ambassador to United States Michael Oren about accusations that Israel had eavesdropped on Secretary of State John Kerry, Oren suddenly experienced a 'technical difficulty' when his ear piece did not work, even though he answered previous questions without any difficulty.
"I just have to ask you very briefly, in ten seconds, were you aware any of eavesdropping on John Kerry by Israeli intelligence?" Mitchell asked.
After a brief pause, he replied, "Andrea, I cannot hear you, I'm sorry."
The host tried to get through once more but Oren said 'I am in Tel Aviv right now, I cannot hear you, I'm sorry.'
'Okay,' Mitchell said, 'We'll clarify that later. Thank you very much.'
