Taliban fighters stormed a police outpost in eastern Afghanistan, killing four personnel, an official said Friday.
"The incident took place Thursday night in Sangin district," said Omar Zwak, spokesman for the governor of Helmand province.
A police officer who asked not to be named said that the militants had captured the outpost.
"The security forces are fighting to retake the post," the officer said.
Sangin has seen fighting between Afghan troops and Taliban who attacked the district last month.Taliban fighters stormed a police outpost in eastern Afghanistan, killing four personnel, an official said Friday.
