Sources have told Reuters that Egypt has called for a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador Stephen Beecroft in Cairo to voice its displeasure over Muslim Brotherhood figures going to Washington D.C. for a private conference. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one of the sources has disclosed that U.S. officials have no plans to meet with Muslim Brotherhood figures despite earlier meetings with them in January, including former members of the Freedom and Justice Party.
