The final event in the Scattered Sounds series opens with an eerie performance created by the theremin instrument of Cihan Gülbudak performing under the name Meczup. With the release of their 2014 album "Hazy Star," the series comes to a close with a final performance by Barkın Engin & Tuna Pase. Meczup not only uses the theremin for compositions, but also uses the signals produced by the theremin and makes them polyphonic using loop pedals. This shifts the emphasis put on them via the effects added to the multichannel melodies that are the byproducts of the process. Barkın Engin & Tuna Pase collaborated on their first album "Hazy Stars," which was released in October 2014 on the duo's Bandcamp page. The duo have been sharing their new work before their upcoming second album at various performances. ries of electronic music performances organized in collaboration with SALT and the Red Bull Music Academy, will launch March 11 with a performance by İpek Görgün using fixed media and live electronics at the Walk-in Cinema at SALT Beyoğlu. A performance by the Fuji Kureta duo Şahin Kureta and Deniz Öztürk, who released their latest EP, "Yetunde," in early 2015, will follow the festivals opening performance by İpek Görgün.
İpek Görgün is currently a Ph.D. candidate of Sonic Arts at Istanbul Technical Univesity's Center for Advanced Studies in Music. Görgün was the bass player and singer for Bedroomdrunk between 2001-2013 and was also a participant of the 2014 Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo, where she was part of the opening act for Ryoji Ikeda's Test Pattern No: 6 and improvised live with Otomo Yoshihide. Fuji Kureta is an electronic pop duo composed of Şahin Kureta (music and programming) and Deniz Öztürk (lyrics and vocals) who have been creating music together since August 2008. After the release of their album "Andrey" in June 2014, their latest EP "Yetunde" was released in early 2015.
Biblo and Ah! Kosmos

Scattered Sounds' second event begins with a performance by biblo (Pınar Üzeltüzenci) using sound from everyday life, starting with field recordings and mixed rhythms to confuse the mind. With her latest album set for release next month, Ah! Kosmos (Başak Günak) follows with a performance accompanied by Övünç Dan on guitar.
biblo is based in Istanbul and holds degrees in both modern literature and sound design. Her fourth album "Absence" was released last November on the Berlin-based record label c.sides. biblo defines "Absence" as being about "the absence of desire, the absence of roots, of meaning and of justice."
Ah! Kosmos (Başak Günak), along with live performances, has made composition and sound design for contemporary dance, theaters, short-films and site-specific performances in several various art spaces. Her debut EP "Flesh" was released by record label Müzik Hayvanı in April 2013 and her debut album "Bastards" will be released by Denovali Records in April 2015.
Görkem Han Jr. and Seretan

With the release of his single "Shattered" in November 2014, the third event in the Scattered Sounds series begins with a performance by Görkem Han Jr., which will be followed by a performance of layered sounds by Seretan (Özcan Ertekin).
Görkem Han Jr. was initiated as a project and begun as a solo ambient/down-tempo genre production during the first months of 2013 by Görkem Han. With 13 singles and an EP release, Görkem Han is currently continuing his vocal studies at the Hacettepe University State Conservatory Jazz Department. Seretan uses sequencers, drum machines and samplers to create a distinct style of music based on additive structures, sustained textures and unusual combination of sounds. Seretan was part of the Red Bull Music Academy in New York in May 2013.
