The Music for Peace Foundation is ready to reach out to Ardahan province with the Equal Rights Through Music Project held in the scope of the international cultural grant program "Creative Force" by the Sweden Institute. In this context, the trainers of the foundation will provide string-instrument education to children by visiting Koyunlu Village in Ardahan's Göle district Oct. 4-7. At the conclusion of the three-day program, the results of the lessons will be shared with locals in a concert.

The project will be conducted through collaboration between the Koyunlu Village Culture and Solidarity Foundation located in the capital Ankara, Koyunlu Village Primary School in Ardahan and the Music for Peace Foundation in Istanbul. It aims to create a platform where children between the ages of 6 and 14, especially girls, who study at Koyunlu Village Primary School can express themselves through art with an opportunity to partake in creative activities. The foundation has demonstrated, once again, what children can do when they are trusted and obstacles in their paths have been removed. The project will support the foundation of music courses that will be held at the village's school.

Koyunlu Village is located far from the city's center and is a place where access to information is limited and poverty is intense, leading to a high emigration rate. The children of the area are affected by these negative conditions the most. The project aims to provide access to information and art for these children by focusing on solving their accessibility problems.

Nearly 7,000 children have benefited from the healing and uniting effect of music to date thanks to the Music for Peace Foundation. Almost 500 children have received an education in the centers located on the Princes' Islands, in the Nilüfer district of Bursa and in the Naldöken district of İzmir, along with the main center of the foundation in Istanbul's Edirnekapı.
