The Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) adopted the National Operational System of the Turkey Disaster Operation Plan (TAMP) as part of its services in January 2015.
According to this system, following a disaster each institution will operate within a preset time frame and be processed with the coordination of AFAD.
The agency will instruct the relevant institutions and nongovernmental organizations within 28 different service groups throughout the course of a disaster and each service group will be informed about their present duties and responsibilities. Also, governors and local authorities have received training on the system by AFAD in Antalya.
