Beşiktaş’s three-week winning streak came to a halt last night in an away game against Gaziantepspor. It was the referee’s calls that made its mark on the night as Beşiktaş secured a single point from a 0-0 draw with just nine players.

With Quaresma absent in last night's away game against Gaziantepspor, Beşiktaş was unable to create positions. With two red cards given to Necip and Ismail, it was Rüştü's saves that brought the team a single point in the fifth week of the Spor Toto Super league. In fact it would be best to call last night's game one between Gaziantepspor and Rüştü… It was entirely up to his skilled hands that Beşiktaş walked away with a single point last night.
Necip sees red…
Necip Uysal, who was sent off the field with a red card, has now become the Beşiktaş player to have received the highest number of red cards. In the past two seasons, Necip has been thrown off the field with red cards a total of three times. Last season, Necip saw red in both the Antalya and Konya away games and last night he was issued a red card for bringing down Popov. Over the past two seasons, Beşiktaş has received 12 red cards and in Europe three, making it a total of 15 red cards for the team.
