A breakthrough has occurred in the defense industry: A Turkish company is in the process of purchasing an American company. Havelsan, which is engaged in defense and information technologies, has purchased flight simulation firm Quantum3D that has U.S. government units and civil companies as its customers. The reason behind the purchase is to increase Turkey's simulation and training abilities. The company has offices in San Jose, California, and Orlando, Florida. After the purchasing process is completed, Quantum3D products will continue to be sold with the Quantum3D brand. The company is one of the leader software developers, and the most important product of the company's portfolio is its prize-winning product Mantis. The company, which produces solutions for airports, cities and other destinations all around the world, will be purchased as it has complimentary solutions required by Havelsan. The authorities at Havelsan noted that simulation and training areas are crucial for fast growth and that Quantum3D products are renowned for their practicality and high performance. "We believe we will create many more opportunities when our strategies are merged with the strategies of Quantum3D," Havelsan officials. The purchasing process will be completed by the end of 2015.
