ISTANBUL — Five international Instagram users, who came to Turkey as part of Instagram project sponsored by the Turkish Airlines THY, photographed Istanbul from eleven different points on Monday.
Nearly 60 Istanbul-themed photos will be shared on Instagram throughout the #InstaMeetTK0001 project, which is expected to attract over four million people all around the world.
The project aims to share with the world the charm of Istanbul's daily life through famous Instagram photographers, and to provide a distinct point of view for Istanbul's popular sites and places.
Istanbul to be most Popular Travel Destination of 2014
According to a written statement by Turkish Airlines, the #InstaMeetTK0001 project has brought together the most followed names of the photo-sharing social media platform Instagram to discover all aspects of Istanbul, which has recently been chosen as the "Most Popular Travel Destination of 2014" by globe-trotters.
The attendees of the project are Liz Eswein and Pei Ketron from the U.S., VuTheara Kham from France, Eelco Roos from the Netherlands and Hiroaki Fukuda from Japan.
